- What is SaxTrax.com?
In 23 years of playing Smooth Jazz in Chicago I had heard these questions most frequently:
- Why is it so hard to find Smooth Jazz CDs?
- Why don't music stores know more about Smooth Jazz?
- How do you spell "Gato Barbieri?"
Smooth Jazz is, indeed, a neglected category at most conventional music stores. Most places carry the same, standard inventory of pop titles but little else. If you need to find a rare or out-of-print title which you heard on your favorite Smooth Jazz radio station, they cannot help you. We know how frustrating that can be.
At SaxTrax.com Smooth Jazz is our only love. It is our specialty. Our mission is to provide you, the Smooth Jazz fan, with an inventory of hard-to-find titles and recordings of special interest and value, backed up by top-notch service.
Most of the CDs we offer at SaxTrax.com are not available anywhere else. Many have been out-of-print for years.
SaxTrax is owned and operated by Smooth Jazz fans who enjoy the music as much as you do. Unlike the chain stores, every order will be received, processed and filled by Smooth Jazz fans: either my wife, Lori, or me--it's a truly "hands on" operation. We appreciate your business.
By the way, that's G-A-T-O B-A-R-B-I-E-R-I. Look for his classic, "Europa," on several of his CDs, including Caliente .
